If I manually move the screen to the left (as you would think that that would make the cut-off part appear on the right), I find that there is nothing rendered there, and it is simply black. This is evidently the case as the health bar of the second character is cut a little short, which doesn't match the health bar on the left side of the screen, nor to the original arcade cabinets. As in, a bar (sometimes black, sometimes white) appears on the left-hand side of the screen, and on the right-hand side, the screen is cut off a bit.

I have spent all day looking online to find the answer to this question, and it is as if people don't acknowledge the issue let alone know a solution - I cannot find one single post on it. r/pinball - Pinball specific discussion. r/arcade - Original CoinOP Arcade specific discussion. r/RetroGamingNetwork - a multireddit for retro gaming! r/HyperSpin - HyperSpin specific discussion. R/MAME RULES/REGULATIONS REDDIT'S ARCADE COMMUNITY Over time, MAME (originally stood for Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator) absorbed the sister-project MESS (Multi Emulator Super System), so MAME now documents a wide variety of (mostly vintage) computers, video game consoles and calculators, in addition to the arcade video games that were its initial focus. The fact that the software is usable serves primarily to validate the accuracy of the documentation (how else can you prove that you have recreated the hardware faithfully?). The source code to MAME serves as this documentation. This is achieved by documenting the hardware and how it functions. As electronic technology continues to rush forward, MAME prevents this important "vintage" software from being lost and forgotten. MAME’s purpose is to preserve decades of software history. MAME is a multi-purpose emulation framework. Questions? Please check out OUR MAME/BYOAC Wiki!
